LONDON – Design planning and support company Numetrics Management Systems Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.) has teamed up with UBM Electronics (San Francisco), the publisher of
EE Times, to launch SmartPROJECT, project management software for embedded systems developers.
For a monthly subscription price of $24.95 per user the SmartPROJECT software provides a management tool that includes support for the so-called "Agile" and "Scrum" software and project development methods. SmartPROJECT is also said to include collaboration capabilities.
The software includes access to an industry database of more than 1,300 embedded software projects that comprises a range of project performance metrics and best practices. The analytical tools within the software can generate project estimates for schedule and engineering resource requirements. Users can benchmark their embedded software development capabilities against best‐in‐class.
