MANHASSET, NY -- The Society for Information Display is providing a forum for live demonstrations of emerging information display technologies prototypes in the “Innovation Zone” at the June 3-8 Display Week 2012.
Researchers will demonstrate new displays, input technologies, and innovations in related fields such as lighting and organic electronics in the I-Zone. The I-Zone Committee will select a winner of the "Best Prototype at Display Week" award.
The demo list includes the following among others:
- Large imperceptible color breakup color filterless LCD using the 180Hz Stencil-FSC method
- High frame rate surface pressure imaging and pressure sensing multitouch tech
- LED/optic flexible alphanumeric digital display
- Re-writable and re-usable electronic paper technology
- 22in. 3-D-TFT-monitors without glasses
- Solid-state light source technology for projection displays
- Headsetless consumer eye gaze technology
- Capacitively-coupled wireless power transfer system for mobile & e-paper
- Transparent projection display technology
In addition to the I-Zone SID 2012 attendees can get scheduled demos at various exhibitor booths.
