LONDON – Toshiba Corp. and its U.S. subsidiary Toshiba America Electronic Components Inc. have been fined $87 million for anti-trust practices in the LCD business.
A jury in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California (San Francisco) issued the verdict on a case brought in 2007 as a class action by purchasers of LCD panels.
Toshiba said the verdict against it is wrong and that it plans to pursue all available legal avenues in its defense.
